Ralink rt3290 has stopped working in Raring

Asked by David Samuels

Having worked hard with others to get my Ralink rt3290 working under 12.10 (see Bug 1049466), I have just upgraded my HP Pavilion dm1 4300sa to 13.04. Guess what? Now, no wireless and still no bluetooth. I thought this problem had been fixed but clearly not.

I'm told "device not ready" and when I look at the system log, I get repeated references to rt2800; here is an extract:

What now, please?

Sorry -- a false alarm. After closing the lid, opening it again and pressing the WiFi button again, it all sprang into life and I now have WiFi. Still no bluetooth but hey, who needs it?
