Starting phpmyadmin does not open login window

After running sudo and all that the phpmyadmin does not open an admin dialog box. It says The requested URL /phpmyadmin was not found on this server. I have made sure that I checked the correct ip address...

Can you be more specific? What did you do to install phpmyadmin?

sudo apt-get install phpmyadmin

opened Firefox and typed in my IP address with /phpmyadmin after to open the admin window. Does not work...

Try restarting Apache:
sudo /etc/init.d/apache2 restart

Can you try http://localhost/phpmyadmin/ as well?
