Is there a Linux (UNBUNTU) equivalent to foxpro?

Asked by knowsgrace

Does UNBUNTU include an equivalent to a foxpro database, or something that can read a foxpro database. I am considering converting to UNBUNTU. I have a old genealogy package I want to install that keeps it's data in a foxpro database. I keep finding string about problems with old foxpro applications (relating to loading the SOUND.DLL). If something can just read my data I can deal with rest. (If there's an easy fix for foxpro and the sound.dll that would be nice too)

I googled and see this: http://rgr.freeshell.org/foxpro.html

http://www.fship.com/vfs.html

You can buy that commercial application and convert it to C or just try to move your foxpro application to openoffice base (ms access).

Can you help with this problem?
