No autorun program for windows disks

Asked by Hamish McIntyre-Bhatty

There is no autorun program for ubuntu for windows disks. Therefore I have written a script which may do the job. It isn't stable or finished yet, but would this be of interest in future?

What are you wanting to install?
Did you check the appdb fro compatibility?

It's not realy an interest, wine needs certain things in order to work, as well as the app to be known to run.

Andrew, the idea isn't for any particular cd/dvd or any particular program. It is effectively an autorun script for any disk that your drive supports, ecept it will only search for .exe files and, soon to be implemented, it'll also read an autorun.inf file if one is present. I may note the current (0.7) unstable version was written on a laptop with problems and consequently doesn't work. 0.8 will be release soon.

The app doesn't need to be known, I've run loads of apps that aren't in the DB
