video freezing on play back

I have an on going problem. I think that the problem is fixed but then it shows up again;
I have dvds that I have copied with handbrake. On a reboot or start up the movie plays fine.
But if the computer has been on for a while, the vider starts to freeze or hesitate a few seconds
through out the movie. The sound is fine.
I did not have this problem in 10.04.

I have re-installed the video drover. I have un-checked the sync to v bland in the driver settings.
I have tried smplayer, vlc and movie player. The hesitation is in all of it.
The core temperature of the laptop is fine. It is not running hot at all.

The strange thing is, that if the lap top has been on for a while, and I start the movie, it will hesitate. If I then reboot the computer, the video plays fine so, I just do knot know what is causing this.

What is the output of :

sudo dmidecode -t 1; lsb_release -a; uname -a; env

I hope you can find something in here that might help.
I have used movie player, sm player, vlc, xbmc, moovidia
and I have the same results in all of them
