try listing all usb services in terminal before and after plugging your devise.

See, your device is being identified in bus 5 so all you need to do right now is mount it manually. If you don't understand what that is, go through this http://www.faqs.org/docs/Linux-HOWTO/USB-Digital-Camera-HOWTO.html a very easy guide for beginners in mind.
