Trouble getting ext3 volume to recognize in Vista

Asked by JosephB

I recently set up a dual boot of Vista Home Premium and Ubuntu 7.10. I tried a driver like extifs inside of Vista in order to be able to view and work with files on my Linux partition when I'm in the windows environment. The result was that I was able to view the EXT3 and swap volumes, but they were inaccessible and Windows was asking me to format them. I have since un-installed that driver and I was hoping there was a better driver for Vista to manipulate EXT3 volumes. Any ideas out there?

Extifs does not work under vista.
Probably explore2fs can help you. It should work under vista.
