suspend to ram, kubuntu 7.10

Asked by Denis

Hi all.
I use Kubuntu 7.10 on HP-Compaq 6720s.
When I first time installed kubuntu on it, it was kde-guidance-powermanager installed.
Suspend to ram was working, but resume from suspend wasn`t( i`ve got black screen ).
Then I found solution. It was to uncomment SAVE_VIDEO_PCI_STATE=true in /etc/defaults/acpi-support.
Then I`v removed kde-guidance-powermanager, and install kpowersave.
Now I have such problem:
When closing lid kpowersave do nothing....But should suspend to ram...
When I press directly in kpowersave menu "suspend to ram", it works,
but when laptop returns I have screen with about 2-5% of brightness....
Suspend to disk works well.
Also I have not found what scripts kpowersave is using and how enevts are tracking.
One more. Now when I tried to install kde-guidance-powermanager again, suspend to ram stoped working for it too.
