xorg update today push vlc in error!!!

I did some automatic updates today with synaptic, it changes the xorg server, but there is an error in Xorg, vlc does not start anymore.Ii think(it already happened in the past one year...)this is a serious bug isn't?

Excellent, my palms were sweating at the thought of my favourite media player not working..
