Evince on 12.10 printing $ over-writes number

Asked by ronswift

Evince on Ubuntu 64 bit 12.10 displays pdf form checks correctly but when printing the "$" symbol over-writes the left most number. This happens regardless of which printer I use., ink jet, laser, etc.
On Ubuntu 12.04 workstations it displays and prints the pdf form checks correctly.

Do other PDF viewers work as expected?

Yes, qpdfview prints the pdf checks correctly however document spacing is a little tricky. Adobe Reader worked well on 12.04 but it will not install on 12.10 64 bit.
I am also able to open and edit the check file in Libreoffice draw but it does not recognize the bank routing number and account number coding on each check.
