Cannot get USB Analog 56k modem to work

I have a 56 K USB modem and it is not working. I can see it disabling and enabling in the messages log and in the Syslog, but I don't see and entry in the DMESG log.
So is there any module I need to load or a specific driver ? No clue ? It is a K56 Flex V90. Any idea ?
