Hi!

Most of things will be detected, if you need something else, you can try to find your answer in this same place.

For example, for my laptop, i didn't have to download anything, I just need for my printer :)

Try first with LiveCD to see if you have sound, and if you have it should be ok to continue.

Thanks

what about my networked printer and wireless internet connection? I never had any contact with this OS, so I'm not sure what to expect. Andy

Try first with LiveCD (without install, just run it) and do some testing with it, to see if your hardware works fine.

most of the time you should be able to use Ubuntu with its default drivers, but you may need special 3d drivers for certain video cards to take full advantage of them; these can be found on the ATi website or the apt.

Can you help with this problem?
