tigrigna translation by ignition team

Asked by Samson Yohannes

Tigrigna is one of the local languages in Ethiopia having its own font . We want to create a team that will translate Ubuntu. We are a team of 6 and we work in a government university. We have been using Ubuntu for many years now and we believe that people around us having language limitations should be able to use it too. We have gone through the guideline and we believe it is high time to create a team as Tigrigna has no translation team yet. We are sure that localization of Ubuntu can be done by the Team in collaboration with the local community. Some training as to how to use the software and community and awareness creation activities have been in the past. The team will take a leading role and make a practical contribution in localization of the software. We also believe that it will attract people towards using the software.

Any guidance that what should be done next is highly appreciated!
Regards
