hello all...im kinda having trouble getting my at home network that routes with windows XP to work with ubuntu....Im currently using a liksys router and i have no idea where and how to begin....to be able to get a network up and running....??

help me....please and thanks

It's probably an issue with your wifi card in your laptop (assuming you are using a laptop). Can you provide info on the specs of the computer in question? For the wifi card, open a terminal (apps -accessories) and type

lspci | grep -i wireless

Paste the output here.

thanks for your respond....i have the sony model PCG-7Y2L Model number is the VGN-N365E

after typing "lspci | grep -i wireless" I received the following response:

Looks like support may or may not yet exist (Dec 7th passed but no update to that page). You can try the given link though but it too looks a bit out of date.
