supported monitors for Dell

I'm thinking of buying a Dell monitor E1913. Is this monitor supported by Ubuntu 12.04? Using a Toshiba laptop with graphics card Mesa DRI Intel(R) 945GM x86/MMX/SSE2

In general , as long as your graphics card can output the resolution required , you shouldn't run into problems. What you may find is that your graphics card can only run both monitors simultaneously if they are at the same resolution (i.e. 1440 x900 or whatever the common highest is). I see your gpu is 945GM ( http://ark.intel.com/products/27857/Intel-82945GM-Graphics-and-Memory-Controller ) , if thats correct your gpu is dual display capable so you will be able to drive both displays, however intensive tasks may lag ( 720p hd video on both screens for example) as it isnt a particularily powerful gpu.
