Ubuntu don't start, error after HDD upgrade

Asked by Juan Angel Saavedra

I have Ubuntu 12.04 LTS installed into a Windows 7 installation. All worked fine, until I upgrade my HDD to a new one. Now, it seem like before HDD upgrade, I can see the same ms- dos screen to select the systems to start (Windows 7 or Ubuntu), Windows 7 by default; If I select Windows 7 it starts fine, but if I select Ubuntu, it seem do search the old HDD (I think) and give an error message, and on screen says "select any key..." but don't happens anything.
I was cloned the hard disc from the original with EaseUS Partition Master 9.2.1 Home Edition, then I think the old and the new HDD are virtually identical now. I was done same job several times with other HDD systems and worked all the times after done the clone.
Any solution?
Greetings.

1. I Think that you would install once more ubuntu upon the same partition
that actually do you have.

2. you can try to use a recovery grub how to for example super-grub-disk
is a software that you can found in a package of systems to recovery
systems called "Hiren's Boot"

3. try pressing F5 when you choose ubuntu.

Good Luck XD
