Lenovo IdeaPad U410 EasyCamera Webcam does not give image

Asked by skipx

Trying to configure the Lenovo IdeaPad U410 I found out the webcam is not working. The light of the camera goes on if I open Cheese or Skype video settings, but no image.
I don't have much information since I don't know where to look for it. Please ask! :)

I am having the same issue. This must have been introduced in a recent update as it was working perfectly previously.

A quick workaround is to roll back your kernel to 3.5.0-23-generic - works for me with this kernel.

Can you help with this problem?

Provide an answer of your own, or ask skipx for more information if necessary.
