Forgotten password to edubuntu, need work around

About 9 months ago I bought an old Del Latitude D630 to play around and learn Linux
eduubuntu was in a book on the shelf of the local book store, so I started with that

I had to suspend my education, because life got in the way, and was looking to go
back to work on my projects, but.... I have forgotten the password I used when I
set the silly machine up. Any ideas on how to hack, or reset the password so that
I can again start to learn?

Any help is appreciated.

Please boot to recovery mode. then you can reset the password.
