What is the current state of SELINUX in Ubuntu. Is there some active development on it at present?

Asked by asmita

I am trying to get selinux working on my Ubuntu 12.04 LTS.
I started with the meta-package named "selinux"
Is that the one I should be using or is there something more recent.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,

SELINUX is mandatory-access-control method which supported by RED-HAT linux. In Ubuntu world ubuntu/debain uses Apparmor for the same.
It's more easy to configure than SELINUX.

For more information on SELINUX refer this, https://wiki.ubuntu.com/SpecSELinux or https://wiki.ubuntu.com/SELinux
