thanks for response

my bluetooth mouse is a navigator 900 pro genius mouth
it has a driver cd but it is plug n play in windows so i never had to install the drivers
however drivers are only for windows.

version of ubuntu is 7.10 gutsy
when i try to connect the bluetooth mouth with the existing tool in ubuntu it says :

"obex://[00:12:a1:60:64:a4]" is not a valid location.
Please check the spelling and try again.

these little things make linux distros not as popular as windows
because most of the people are not software engineers
i think if linux become more user friendly it is a good replacement for windows.

I remember that I used such a mouse on my Ubuntu installation. I got it work by using the Blueman Bluetooth Manager, it can be obtained from here:-
http://blueman.tuxfamily.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=51&Itemid=56

Once installed, open the application, press the Inquiry button, after the sweep is done, go to Edit>Services and turn on Input, then press the configuration button and add the mouse to the list of devices, the rest of the steps are much easier from there.
