Change log files output language

Asked by Christian Kuske

Can i change the output of log files to english, without changing the language of the OS?
Because i want to summit a bug, but the output is on german. The rest of the OS should be remain its language.

If this isnt possible, then i would prefer a language change without reinstalling the whole system.

Thanks in advance,
Christian

You can change the language of every console application by adding "LC_ALL=C" before the command. Compare this two:

ls --help
LC_ALL=C ls --help
