linux network mapping remote samba drives

Network Environment :--- Work group

Server operating System :- Redhat Enterpise 5.0,

Server :- Samba

Mapped Folders :- 5

No. Of clients : 150

Clients :- Windows xp,Vista, Ubuntu 12.04

Configure Procedure In windows vista :- 1.click run
                                                        2.\\samba server
                                                        3.prompt username and password
                                                        4.mapping 5 samba folder
                                                        5. create shortcut on Desktop.

I want to know if there is option in Ubuntu 12.04

yes same procedure ..

disable firewalls
edit smb.conf
and map same as you said

samba have same configure and same functionality for all .. :) but some boundaries according to distro
