"Another thing i want to know is how can i stop the password protection everytime i do a setting i got to input the pass"
→ I recommend you not doing that. It has good purpose...

"Second thing do i need a firewall or antivirus i dont want to have problems :P"
→ You don't need any antivirus programms. Firewall is included by default.

Please make a deep RAM check using first boot menu Ubuntu live cd options...

Try to perform the "Memory test"

or from your installed Ubuntu by pressing press ESC when you see the GRUB row and selecting

Ubuntu 7.10, memtest86+

Hope this helps
