I am unsatisfied with some of the features of Ubuntu and would like to return to my original operating system, Windows 7. Is there any way to do this? Please let me know ASAP, I want my old operating system back. Thank you!

I'm disappointed to hear that. I started out with Windows as well but I love Ubuntu and found that Linux is much more capable than Windows at almost everything. If you don't mind me asking, what were you unsatisfied with? If you would be willing to stay for a little longer or consider having a dual-boot system I would be willing to try to help you figure out how to make your Ubuntu experience more satisfactory. I am not affiliated with Ubuntu at all, just a big fan.

Thanks

Well, I have 2 major things I was unsatisfied with: 1. none of my files, like pictures, apps, videos, documents, etc. didn't show up, and I found out later it was because I was still had Windows installed and it was running alongside Ubuntu. 2. When I went to install apps, the Archive Manager always ran into an error and it couldn't install what I downloaded. Other than that, it is pretty handy, takes a lot of getting used to, but I have to say, it does run a lot faster and is a lot more responsive than Windows. Plus I love that you can switch between workspaces, so I could be working on a document in one while waiting for a browser window to load in another. They are definitely onto something with this.

Well, the first thing is an issue with Windows. And the second thing is not a very common problem which I could help you to fix if you are willing. It is a big learning curve but if you would be willing to erase Windows completely, you will find that Ubuntu is much easier to get used to. This is a very mature operating system, they are not "onto something", it is already a tried and true, fully functional OS. My system runs like a dream now and I could never switch back to Windows. You can customize the hell out if your system and make it "yours". There are so many possibilities. I just got the 3D desktop cube going with compiz and it just blows my mind how awesomely customizable it is. So would you be willing to give it another shot? I will help you fix the problem so you can install whatever you like.

Thanks

I would be willing to give it another try, though I found out that some of the apps I normally use are not compatible with Ubuntu, just Windows and Mac. I would hate to start from the beginning when I have Windows completely customized to my liking.

Well there is an open source replacement app that functions just as well as any Windows app. Oh well, your loss. I tried.
