Some files not available in Ubuntu Software Center for Ubuntu 13.04 64bit

Asked by Ak!

Some of the files that can be installed from Ubuntu Software Center in Ubuntu 13.04 32bit are not available in Ubuntu Software Center in Ubuntu 13.04 64bit.

Examples:
1. Firefox dbg
2. Chromium dbg
3. indicator-cpufreq

Why do 32bit and 64bit have different files available?
Is it possible to fix this before the final release? I believe these files are rather important.

Are they still available in terminal? If someone is technical enough to do debugging work then I would assume they would also be able use a command line. The terminal is way faster then Ubuntu Software Center anyways.

This is not about me or you. The softwares must be available in Ubuntu Software Center, especially because there are a lot of new users out there. Its not very convenient for new users to use terminal for installing softwares that should be in Ubuntu Software Center. Using terminal would not be faster for them because they would first need to find the codes for installing the softwares.

That is good , very good that you are a tester .. and many people without knowing you , will thank you.

All the testers deserved a "Thanks" for the "job" they do.

But here in Launchpad Answers Tracker we cannot troubleshooting an unreleased version like 13.04.

You should report a bug about this.

Thanks

Yeah you're right. All the new users out there that perform comprehensive debugging work require a GUI to install simple software.
