firewall and antivirus software

just installed Ubuntu 7.10 . Amazing! How do i find what firewall and anti virus software came with the install. if not, what are the ubuntu suggested ones? how to install them?

You don't need antivirus!

Firewall is inluded in system and is called iptables. For setup this firewall exist good program called Firestarter - https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Firestarter

My System working very slow when i open multiple applications it is working very slow.If anyone connecting to my system then immediately it is going to stuck not even the shutdown also working.and i have pidgin in my system if i do any long conversation it automatically sign outs.. any one can help me regarding this case?
