open PDF and OpenOffice files from evolution

Asked by Alessandro Polverini

I have kubuntu Edgy,
I'm using evolution as email client.
I would like it to be configured to handle correctly (at least) PDF and OOo files, but only option I have is "save attachment".
Where may I "explain" evolution to use evince and OOo?

You haven't at the end of the message a list with the attached files and a button at the right of it to save or to open it ?

I have all the attached files in the end of the message, but my only option is to save them, the usual "open it with..." is not available :(

Is the packet "evolution-plugins" installed on your computer ?

"Evolution-exchange" and "gnome-desktop-data" too ? (I try to list the evolution related packets I have installed to see if one is missing on your system)

I would be more useful for you if I find the problem ^^

Maybe it is related with the fact you use it on KDE... I don't really know why...

I check on my Edgy with both Ubuntu and Kubuntu installed : I haven't your problem. So I think it is related with a library that I have (installed by default on my Ubuntu) but you haven't on your Kubuntu...

Can you help with this problem?
