Sincerely,

Just to add, the Acer C120 is a projector.
What is the output of:

lsb_release -a; uname -a; lsusb

Thanks

Thank you however libam7xxx will not support Acer C120:-( The Acer C120 is using an other protocol.

Sincerely,

Hi! I would be also interested in a solution. We use the projector for a scientific project in which we have to work with linux.

Hi, I am the author of libam7xxx, if anyone is willing to sponsor an Acer C120 I think I can try to work on a driver for it.
If there are several people interested in it, you can split the cost, contact me via http://ao2.it if you are interested.

An alternative is to use projectors supported by libam7xxx, a new version is out with some more hardware supported:
http://ao2.it/en/news/2013/03/18/libam7xxx-013-released
but I know, this is not an option for those who own a C120 already and can't invest in different hardware.

Ciao,
   Antonio
