Asked by Nic Knox

~/.mozilla/firefox/Crash Reports/pending accumulates vast numbers of crash reports until system runs out of memory & crashes. Can resolve crashes by deleting ~/.mozilla/firefox/Crash Reports/pending but crashes persist. A specimen crash report is:

Try to remove flashplugin and reset Firefox. BE AWARE you will lose all the settings in Firefox and/or bookmarks , so backup first.

Remove flashplugin from terminal

sudo apt-get purge flashplugin-installer adobe-flashplugin

Then open Firefox and click "Help" and then "Troubleshooting information" and click on "Reset Firefox"

Then install again the flash player (from terminal , first close firefox)

sudo apt-get install flashplugin-installer

Then open again Firefox and test.

Thanks

I suggest you upgrade to a newer release. Lucid desktop is EOL in April 2013. You can upgrade to Precise as it is the next LTS and will give support until April 2017

Can you help with this problem?
