i am unable to browse with my ubuntu. why?

i cant browse , play media files(musics and video) and i cant install a progamme

Which Ubuntu release do you use? I)f you don´t know type in terminal

lsb_release -a

See in network manager are you connected.

If you run:

ping 8.8.8.8 -c 4

1. How are you trying to connect to the internet? Wired LAN, Wifi or something else?

2. What's the make and model of PC?

3. Open a terminal (CTRL+ALT+T) and provide us with the output of the following commands

lsb_release -a; sudo lshw -C network; ifconfig; route -n; ping 8.8.8.8 -c 4
