uninstall xp

every thing is good but i want to uninstall xp home edition because it is taking a alot of my space and because of this the computer is running a bit slow but not that slow so how do you uninstall xp i went has an administrator went to add and remove programs and there is no xp there and also i can not run my xp home edition on safe mode, like it gives me a choice of which os i want to use but no safe mode for xp home edition

You will just need to delete the partition Xp sits in.

You will want to basically boot the live CD and run gparted and delete the partition windows Xp sits on and then merge the new available space into your existing partitions.

plese more detail i am sitting here with the live cd and with the option of start or install ubntu start ubutu in safe grapics mode install with driver update cd Oem install For manfacture chek cd mem test boot from frst hard disk "HELP PLEase

You will want to go install/start ubuntu. That opens the live enviroment. Its basically running ubuntu off your cd and RAM. From there you want to run gparted and edit your patitions.

thaks i did miss a step in the procees no more of XP. Hopufully i will get use to Ubuntu
