You may use the synaptic package manager to install/update any package that you wish (as long as it is available, of course). It is important that you understand that the available version on Ubuntu is not always the latest/most current. Like, say, in Breezy, the available version is 1.0.7. 1.5 will probably be available in the Dapper release.

You may choose to download straight from the Mozilla website and unpack that, if you wish. This method is unsupported (if I am not mistaken), though.
