If the file has finished downloading, you can delete it from the Uploads tab.

If the file is currently downloading, the only thing you can do is make your uploads slower. You can do this in Settings -> Configure KTorrent... in the Maximum Upload speed box

It's also possible to change your sharing policy in the ktorrent preferences, so that files are only shared for a short while after the download completes, or until a certain ratio of sharing has been reached. Anything ratio above 1.0 means you've contributed something back, and any seeding after your download completes is a good thing. So, setting a ratio like 1.1 and a seed time limit of 30 minutes help you find a find a tolerable compromise.
