nvidia glx dependency broken cache

Asked by James Smith

I have no internet connection on my computer, first of all, so whenever i have to get a package i have to get it from the website, not synaptic or anything.
I recently downloaded the nvidia-glx package and put it on my desktop. i double click, the thing opens up and says: error:dependency not satisfied (broken cache). this also happens with the gstreamer-ugly package. any help?

You need the dependencies for that package. Search on http://packages.ubuntu.com for the dependencies you have, and install them.
