apps instal

i' ve got a problem about the installation of that programs, apss which are not in the Synaptic package manager.
I' ve got an app from a web side which has tar.gz an' how can i install it?

please help

If you double-click it the archive manager should open and let you extract the package where you want.
Then what you have to do depens on the kind of application.
it maybe a script-application which doesn't need installation, or if it needs installation a common procedure is to browse to the directory in which you unpacked the program, type "./configure", then "sudo make", then "sudo make install". however there is usually a readme file in the directory which explains the procedure.
