Download flash 9 from in the format of the file ending in .tar.gz from

http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash&P2_Platform=Linux

When the download is complete Double click open.

Extract the two files by clicking extract, then clicking extract in the window that pops up.

close archive manager after the file is extracted

hit alt-f2, this will launch x-term as root.

check "run in terminal"

click "run with file"

find, and run run flashplayer-installer, possibly by clicking desktop then clicking install_flash_player_9_linux

when it asks where to install to type:

click applications->accessories->terminal

if download to the default locations type (copy and paste)

"cd Desktop" (it is case sensitive)

"cd install_flash_player_9_linux/"

close fire fox

"sudo ./flashplayer-installer " (this runs it as administrator so that it will effect all user accounts)

install it to /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins

"sudo ./flashplayer-installer " (run it again)

install it to /usr/lib/firefox/plugins
