Move pictures to web site (i.e. Firefox)

Asked by prandy

Have 8 pictures on a Linux (Ubuntu 7) desktop and trying to move to my Windows XP computer.
Pictures got there via a floppy disk that will not transfer to my Windows XP computer.
Can this be done via a web site or however?

Appreciate any answers please.

You can format the floppy on Windows...
Put the floppy into Ubuntu pc drive open the menu Places-> open floppy and copy the images on it...

Using Ubuntu send the image via mail to yourself... and after open your mail from Windows... and download them.

Use some webspace to store the image on it for example http://imageshack.us/ store your image than retrieve from it using Windows pc

Please also tell if is the same pc with Ubuntu+Windows on it...?

Thank you

Assuming these two computers are on the same local network, you could always set up Samba (Windows filesharing). It's a bit of a pain in my experience, but it's less awkward in the long run than emailing things to yourself.
