Keyboard settings similar to international english in windows
Hi, I believe me and tons of other users are having the same problems with keyboard settings. Microsoft has created this International English keyboard language to help users who types in both their original languages (ie. spanish, portuguese, french, italian, german) and english.
As for my case, I think the main issues and expected behaviors for keyboard inputs are:
(' or " or ` or ~) + ("a" or "e" or "i" or "u") = typed letter with corresponding accent on top of it (ie. á, é, í, ó, ú)
~ + n = ñ
' + c = cellila c
' + any other letter = two characters should appear, both ' and the typed letter (useful for "you're", "you've got", "you'll", ...)
Of course these should apply accordingly to both upper or lower cases.
I guess all the other settings for US English Default are ok. If these changes would be available to any linux distro's it would help lots of people who types in both english and other languages like portuguese, french, spanish, dutch, german, italian, ...
I would also like to add that workarounds like ALT + CTRL + SHIFT + C or L_ALT + C or something like that to produce a simple cedilla c is not very handy and hard to memorize, very annoying for people who use such characters in their ordinary lives. Most of these people must be used with MS's International english settings.
If there's such a "driver" for these settings, please desconsider this message and point me to the solution.
