Problem with running ubuntu on toshiba satilite A-105 notebook

Ubuntu does'nt seem to be compatible with my toshiba satilite A-105 notebook/running the hardware andinternal programs that were pre-installed.HELP running alone no other OS

Non of the installed hardware are working even with the restricted drivers,I
put in a disc to try an install a new program and there is an error message
saying the proper software isn't installed for that.

for the hardware: does it give an error message?

for the software: what does the error say?

there are tons of possible causes to this problem you need to be a little more specific so that were not shooting out useless answers.

and what hardware isnt working? speakers? mouse? printer, ect....
