I installed Compiz Fusion, but it didn't work

Please open a Terminal from the menu Applications->Accessories->Terminal and type:

sudo lspci

give your user password when requested, you don't see nothing when you type it, then press enter.

i cant see settings Compiz Fusion! I have Dics Ubuntu (x64) and install.. and ALL update! and i look up (menu) and no have new software....
and i install yum.. and i cant open yum.. i dont where open software..

Yum tool is not so good on deb packages based distributions.

Yum is good for rpm based distributions for example Fedora... etc. etc.

So please use tools made to manage .deb packages: aptitude and/or apt-get ...

To install compiz settings manager:
Please open a Terminal from the menu Applications->Accessories->Terminal and type:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
sudo apt-get install compizconfig-settings-manager

give your user password when requested, you don't see nothing when you type it, then press enter.

Dmitrij, with Ati card i think you must install the xserver-xgl

Open a terminal and type:

sudo apt-get install xserver-xgl

 I upgraded to hardy heron this morning with the help of the ubuntu community, however there are a couple of problems.
   1. The rotating cube no longer works.
   2. What happened to Firefox, it's gone backwards. No iMacros, No tab mux plus. Why would they do that, no extensions are available for either application.
   Does the rotating cube work in Hardy Heron ?
   Is it possible to go back to the old Firefox ?
