login splash - logging in is quite long

Asked by tarball

Hello, I'm using Xubuntu 12.04 newly reinstalled and I always meet the same problem : after correctly logging in, time lapse between identifying and getting the desktop is really very very very looooooooong (over than 1 minute!). It seems Xorg or Gdm or maybe another backgrounded task is waiting for something on the net before leaving timed out. Could you please have a look to that problem? Thanks a lot for your great work!

Has the Bug #993127 been fixed yet?
At this time, I still have very long logging in durations on my Xubuntu 12.04 desktop sessions.
Would you be kind to review this troubleshooting?
Regards.
