libguniqueapp is not available

Asked by Richard Hughes

libguniqueapp is the new way to impliment a GNOME single instance application. gnome-power-manager uses libguniqueapp for a couple of things, and also it is being added to other gnome projects at a fast rate. It is expected that GNOME 2.17 development will require this module (in one form or another) as an optional dependency.

You can use the 0.5 release from http://guniqueapp.akl.lt/releases/ or probably best is to use CVS (gnome module libguniqueapp) as this contains lots of build fixes by myself and Elijah Newren.

Give me a shout if you want a 0.6 tarball to package as this can be arranged trivially. I'm lost making debs (although I'm learning fast) so I think I better leave this to a person who's experienced in making libraries.

Thanks,

Richard Hughes.

Richard,

You might want to contact the Masters Of The Universe directly to talk about this. I guess they'd be best placed to help you.
