Software Updation on stand alone system

How can i install Software on ubuntu 7.10. I have an machine that does not have any internet connection. On that machine when i click on "Add Remove" menu it ask that List is not uptodate and i require working Internet connection to reload that list. Is there any repository of software and list of softwares for the ubuntu 7.10 to which i can refer.

A bit tricky but certainly doable. Go the the website below and you can find download for packages in the Ubuntu software repository.
http://packages.ubuntu.com/gutsy/

You probably want to download the i386 versions of packages.

Now remember, some software depends on other software be installed first, so you will have to make sure everything is installed manually. You can do it though! just download the .deb files to a jumpdrive or something and double click them on the machine you want to install them on.
