use evolution

i am using gmail with evolution and it is working . i like to backup all mails in the evolution to a folder and write in a cd.then restore that on a another computer runing ubuntu 7.10.how i can?

You can use the embedded backup option available on Evo 2.10 onwards: Click on File/Backup Settings, and select a name and location for the backup file; then click on the Save button.

Evolution will be closed so that the backup can be taken (you will be asked if you agree).

This will backup *all* of Evolution settings and mail folders.
