Best iTunes-Like Program

I need suggestions for the best program to use in order to upload and download songs into my iPod (something very similar to iTunes and that won't erase everything on my iPod when I initially plug it into the system).

It'd be very cool to have a program that has a store like iTunes does.

Probably won't be an itunes store for Linux until Apple releases one but songbird allows some of that functionality. Banshee seems a good itunes like tool for adding songs to an ipod.
