sound cards are not working

Asked by Joe O'Grady

Hello,

I had a Soundblaster card that seemed to be failing and changed it out for an older Dell default Card.
Ensoniq ES1371 [AudioPCI-97] (rev 06)
I still do not have sound.

Please let me know what I need to do to get my sound working again.

Here are my Outputs......

I am experiencing the exactly problem as you. I changed my old sound card for the same model you have now. I tried lots of things without success. I am going to try to format the computer and install everything again to see if it works. I am going to do it in one week or so... The weird thing is that this card is supported by the alsa project.

Let me know if you can find some other answer.

Can you help with this problem?
