WHY Ubuntu folders with a Lock Cant Open In XP?

 My Boss is currently using using Ubuntu in His Desktop Machine, this machine has folders on the Desktop that apear with a locker to their topright coner. The problem is

1. We cant open the files In Windows XP
2. We cant delete these files from the desktop

  Iam desparately in need of your help.

How can i open the Folders after copying them to my Flash?
Ho can i delled the folders with these locks from my destop?

If you want the files deleted, get the system password (root)

and run this in a terminal to remove the folder

sudo rm -rf /home/#username/Desktop/#foldername

please change #whatever to the needed variables

and also keep Desktop uppercase, linux is case sensitive
