Asked by mauchiyuyo

Hello I have a HP dv8000 whit 2 hard disks ATA of 80 GB each, the processor is an AMD turion64 and when I run the live cd the hard disk are detected as hd and not as sd

So when I begin the installation process there is no problem even I can install the grub in hda3 or hdb as I have but I cant install grub in mbr is more that option returns me an issue and a fatal error

Finishing the installation process writing grub in hda3 where is / and restarting the machine there never appears a menu to choose some os even when I have windows installed start windows automatically as there where not a linux installation

So can any one help me to install correctly my ubuntu 7.10 in my laptop??
