SMB does not work wirelessly

Asked by Michael James

I cannot connect to other computers only when I am connected through the Ethernet port but not wirelessly; however I get internet regardless. I can ping other computers and can be pinged.
I can access network files and printer wirelessly only if I am on the live cd.

Never mind, I fixed this with sudo apt-get autoremove...

It removed ndiswrapper-common and another ndiswrapper thing and a couple of other things but I do not remember what they are. I must say that was very strange that it worked.
