No video in Mplayer Firefox plugin

I am trying to view BBC news 24 video stream at http://news.bbc.co.uk/
I can hear the audio ... but no video.
As Mplayer (3.4 installed) plays the audio it shows the URL (see below) and says it's playing the video. ... but there's none.
I've tried all three 'Configure Video Output' options and Full Screen ... but no video.
I am trying the restricted-extras package.
I'd be very grateful for any help! Many thanks.

The URL it's trying to play starts: rtsp://rmlive-acl.bbc.co.uk/bbc-rbs/rmlive-acl/farm/live24/news/news24_bb.rm?BBC-UID=....

When I switch the BBC player preference from Real Player to Windows Media format it works! It's incredibly smooth ... much smoother than I recall it workingon Windows! Great!
However, when Real Player format is selected the Mplayer plugin just shows the URL

Mplayer Firefox plugin not very reliable .... never lasts more than 20 minutes continuous playing usually about 10.
Removed Mplayer; installed Real Player; Stand alone player very stable.

System Gutsy 32 bit
